What does UKCAT stand for?
UKCAT stands for the UK Clinical Aptitude Test.
What is the UKCAT?
The UKCAT is an onscreen test run and used by a consortium of UK University Medical and Dental Schools to help select appropriate candidates. The aim is to assess each candidate's mental abilities and their suitability in becoming desired medical and dental health care professionals. The UKCAT includes five subtests to be completed over a 2 hour duration:
- Verbal reasoning
- Quantitative analysis
- Abstract reasoning
- Decision analysis
- Non-cognitive analysis
There are no pass or fail marks for the UKCAT.
